Atsushi Taira was in the Softbank Group for 12 years.
In 2003 he took office in Yahoo! Japan's first marketing headquarters. In 2008 he took over as MySpace Japan CEO (CEO), a joint venture between News Corp and SoftBank, and was involved in the beginning of SNS in Japan.
As SoftBank Mobile Managing Executive Officer from 2010, he engaged in the establishment of joint ventures, start-up establishments, and investment activities in India, Singapore and Indonesia. He was involved in the launch of the Hike messaging service of Bharti Softbank in India which now has more than 100 million subscribers.
From 2013 he worked in Silicon Valley, as the strategy officer for the US market.
In 2016 he joined Mistletoe Inc. and is currently serving as a CGO.
Prior to the SoftBank group, he was a Senior Consultant in Manufacturing and Distribution at Accenture Corporation, Senior Brand Manager at Coca-Cola Company, CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) at AOL Japan Ltd., and Vice President at a startup company.
