Taavi Kotka is a co-founder and CEO of Nortal, a leading software development company in the e-government, digital healthcare and communication solution fields. Thanks to his leadership it become on of the largest software development companies in the Baltic region. Based on his achievements, he received an entrepreneur of the year award from Ernst & Young in Estonia in 2011.
In 2013 he joined the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and served as CIO of the Estonian Government.
He is the father of the e-Residency program, one of the economic policies, which enables foreign nationals to become virtual residents and set up location-independent business.
