Kenji Ohyama worked for Andersen Consulting (presently Accenture) for seven years from 1998. He was involved in projects such as global supply chain construction of general electric and semiconductor manufacturers.
From 2005, he was a director at a venture company working in business development.
In 2006, he worked in the M & A department of Nikko Cordial Securities (now SMBC Nikko Securities). He was mainly engaged in domestic and foreign M & A advisory services and M & A consulting in the communications, tech and media sectors.
In 2011 he worked on the development and implementation of M & A projects at the company's New York branch for one year.
In 2012, he worked at the IBM Business Strategy Consulting Division in Japan where he engaged mainly in M & A strategy planning and consulting for business / IT integration after execution.
In January 2016, he was appointed leader of IBM BlueHub to promote business development of venture companies utilizing IBM's technology and to promote open innovation between major companies and venture companies. He worked on organizing consortium format programs for the automobile and health care fields. This encouraged the new business and service development through collaboration between major companies, venture companies, local governments etc.
February 2018, he took office at Planetway as the leader of open innovation business.
